Aurora Project Brings Needed Housing to Homeless Women & Children
For 30 years, the Aurora Project has served our community by working to find transitional housing for homeless women and children, especially those dealing with the problems associated with chemical addiction. Today, the Lucas County Land Bank was able to celebrate an event that will help the Aurora Project further its misison.
The Land Bank acquired the historic structure at 529 Elm Street (built in 1897) in September 2013, and after two years of hard work, the ribbon-cutting was held today to signal the building’s conversion into a transitional shelter. I was happy the Land Bank was able to assist on this worthwhile project!
