A Trip to Capitol Hill with Toledo LISC

I just got back from a two-day trip to Washington, DC, where I joined David Mann (president of the Land Bank) and members of the staff of Toledo LISC on a series of visits to Ohio’s congressional offices.  The purpose of the visits was to update our senators and congressmen on the good work LISC is doing to help rebuild Toledo’s neighborhoods.  Specifically, we highlighted Toledo LISC’s partnerships with the Land Bank on the NeighborWorks project near Scott High School and the new community health center in Uptown.  All in all, it was a great experience and a great chance to spread the news on Capitol Hill about the work the Land Bank is doing.
